Gearing Up for the Global AgileAssets Community’s Largest Event

AgileAssets Xchange 2019 is less than a week away and we know that some of you will be attending the conference for the first time. Xchange is a great opportunity to learn from industry experts and network with peers from across the globe. The 3-day conference may seem a bit overwhelming, so we want to help you get the most out of your trip.

Here’s how you can do that.

1. Come Ready To Learn

The Xchange 2019 agenda includes over 40 sessions and workshops. That’s a lot of information to digest in a short time. Use the SCHED app to customize your conference experience by creating your own schedule of the sessions that interest you the most.

Once you’ve arrived at the conference, be ready to learn. You can choose from among dozens of presentations on case studies, best practices, and industry trends. The live software demonstrations and hands-on workshops will focus on your areas of need to help increase your asset management skills and confidence.

2. Be Prepared to Engage

Expect to see more than 100 asset management professionals in attendance, so remember to bring your business cards with you. This is the perfect time to network with industry colleagues. You can raise awareness for your daily work and may learn a new trick or two from another organization that you can bring back to your own team.

Use the SCHED app to see attendee names and profiles. Identify the people you want to meet, and use SCHED to set up a time to connect with them.

3. Share Your Story

Xchange 2019 is the perfect place to share your agency’s success. Participate in a brief, casual interview highlighting how your team is paving the way in asset management. We’ll help you share your story in a high-quality video format that we’ll publish on the AgileAssets website. You can also use the video to support your own organizational communications.

To participate in an interview, contact your Client Success Manager for help in scheduling a time slot and getting tips on how to prepare. We’ll follow up with everything you need to know in advance. Or simply feel free to reach out to me, Nick Franck, in person at Xchange. I’ll be the event emcee, so you can’t miss me. I’ll also be your interviewer, and I can’t wait to meet you.

4. Dress Comfortably

The days are going to be long and full of activity. The last thing you want to be is uncomfortable. Business casual is appropriate during the days, but evening events will be more casual.

Austin temperatures will range from the low to mid-90s (33-34 Celsius) during the day and low to mid-70s (21-23 Celsius) at night. Our Tuesday evening networking event takes place on a boat on Lake Austin, so you might want to bring a light jacket or sweater. The same goes for indoor activities, where the room temperatures tend to be chilly due to strong air conditioning in the conference center. Wear layers.

5. Stay Charged

Just as you’ll need lots of energy for the conference, so will your devices. Pack all the chargers you need (phone, laptop, etc.) so you can stay fully charged. If you want to go old school and take hand-written notes, grab an extra pen or two.

Can’t Attend? Catch the Livestream

For those who cannot attend in person, we are providing livestream access to a number of key sessions. Livestream registration includes online access to up to 15 sessions across the duration of the conference. The topics range from data analysis and reporting to operations management, strategic decision-making, and more. Click here for more livestream details.

We look forward to seeing you at Xchange 2019!
