Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities announced in mid-July that they had selected AgileAssets, Inc. of Austin, Texas to provide software to better manage their diverse portfolio of roads, bridges, equipment, fleet, vehicles, and other transportation assets valued at over $6.3 billion. This new software from AgileAssets provides integrated enterprise asset management solutions to help Alaska minimize the life-cycle cost associated with managing and maintaining their transportation assets and will help increase staff efficiency through data integration across the department.
Commissioner Marc Luiken of Alaska DOT&PF says, “Implementing new efficiencies to improve transportation across Alaska is an endless goal at the Alaska DOT&PF. Improving the Department’s capabilities to manage assets is one key example of how we can control costs and deliver better service to Alaskans.”
Under the agreement Alaska DOT&PF licensed the following software from AgileAssets:
- AgileAssets® Maintenance Manager™ – enables decision makers to analyze the effects of various maintenance plans, activities, and budget scenarios, and to efficiently issue, track, and report on work orders.
- AgileAssets® Pavement Analyst™ – allows pavement engineers to analyze and make data-driven decisions regarding the lifecycle planning of road networks, large and small.
- AgileAssets® Fleet and Equipment Manager™ – helps agencies keep track, summarize, report and optimize all activities required throughout the life cycle of cars, trucks, and heavy machinery.
- AgileAssets® Foundation™ – provides base system-wide functionality including GIS/LRS, reporting, security, system administration and more.
Some of the new software is expected to go-live in the next year with maintenance and continued development to add additional modules over the next several years.
