Values-Based Culture Helps AgileAssets Lead Through Change

As the pandemic continues to unsettle the global labor market and disrupt operations in nearly every industry, AgileAssets has shown repeatedly that a strong organizational culture makes for a resilient workforce.

Now three new awards offer additional proof of AgileAssets’ ability to lead through change.

Built In Award Badges

This week, the online tech community Built In Austin honored AgileAssets in three categories of its 2022 Best Places to Work Awards: 100 Best Places to Work, 100 Best Midsize Companies to Work For, and 50 Companies with the Best Benefits.

“We’re very proud to be among the most innovative leaders in the tech industry who are transforming the work environment for the better in the wake of the pandemic,” said Stuart Hudson, CEO of AgileAssets. “Our values-driven culture has made us not only a respected pioneer in our field, but also an employer of choice in a very competitive tech hub.”

In the Pandemic, Changes—and Awards—Keep Coming

The Built In Austin recognition is all the more meaningful as it demonstrates a three-year trend of excellence and innovation during one of the most volatile times in workplace history. Annually since 2020, AgileAssets has earned distinctions in multiple categories of the competitive Built In Austin awards, and in 2021 was also named to Inc. magazine’s Best Workplaces list, earning shout-outs in multiple categories of the prestigious contest based on input from thousands of employees at organizations across the United States.

Adapting to big challenges is what AgileAssets does best. From its roots as an Austin startup in the 1990s, AgileAssets has evolved into a leading global provider of transportation asset management software solutions that provide advanced analytical capabilities to help maintain safe, reliable transportation infrastructure. Currently, more than half of the state-owned roadways in the U.S. are managed by transportation agencies using AgileAssets solutions.

Throughout the pandemic, AgileAssets has not only continued to serve its longtime clients at home and abroad, but has also launched a new product specifically for cities and counties, added another large state agency to its U.S. client base, and expanded its global partner network—all while transitioning to a fully remote global workforce, maintaining its headquarters in Austin.

In December 2021, AgileAssets began another major transition as it was acquired by Trimble, a global industrial technology company serving the agriculture, construction, geospatial, and transportation industries. Trimble has won similar “best company” awards in multiple categories for many years through Comparably, a platform that provides culture and compensation data on public and private companies.

Competitive Awards in a Competitive Field

The annual Built In awards program recognizes companies of all sizes, including remote-first employers and firms in the eight largest tech markets across the U.S., from the Bay Area and Seattle to Boston and New York City. As one of the country’s fastest-growing metropolitan areas, Austin has one of the most competitive labor markets in the tech industry.

Built In determines the Best Places to Work winners based on an algorithm that uses company data about compensation, benefits, and workplace programs. To reflect the benefits that job candidates search for more frequently on the Built In website, the awards program also weighs criteria like remote and flexible work opportunities; programs for diversity, equity, and inclusion; and other people-first cultural offerings.

“It is my honor to extend congratulations to the 2022 Best Places to Work winners,” said Sheridan Orr, Chief Marketing Officer of Built In. “This year saw a record number of entrants—and the past two years fundamentally changed what tech professionals want from work. These honorees have risen to the challenge, evolving to deliver employee experiences that provide the meaning and purpose today’s tech professionals seek.”
