Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) launched their new transportation asset management system on October 2nd based on the AgileAssets® Maintenance Manager™ (MMS) module. The new system will be used by 800-900 MDT employees to manage over 225,000 assets across the state.
The MMS system provides MDT’s managers with decision‐making information in a more timely manner and eliminates duplicate data entry. The MMS system provides managers with decision‐making information in a more timely manner and eliminates duplicate data entry.
New features in the system provide the ability to measure asset conditions and performance, the effectiveness of work performed, and to utilize analysis tools for more efficient planning and scheduling. The system can also produce needs‐based work programs, workload planning and project scheduling, and assists managers with planning, organizing, directing and managing their projects. The project resulted in updated/streamlined MDT business processes with improved efficiencies in how completed work is reported.
The project owes its success to the great team effort of Mike Warren, Tamuna Cullison and Tony Etherington from Montana Department of Transportation and Karteeka Nalli, Nyekan Cummings, and Shafiul Azam from AgileAssets, Inc. to name just a few.
