Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) Implementation Provides Department with Powerful Decision Tool to Maximize Return on Investment
AUSTIN, TX, December 1, 2014 – AgileAssets Inc., the leading global provider of integrated infrastructure asset management software solutions for public agencies, today announced that the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) has selected AgileAssets® Pavement Analyst™ to replace its current, mainframe-based Pavement Management Information System (PMIS). Licensed under a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) agreement, the web-based solution will provide TxDOT with comprehensive, state-of-the-art capabilities to manage the largest pavement network in the U.S. at 80,268 centerline miles.
Pavement Analyst is a proven Pavement Management System (PMS) that features unmatched analytical tools. Pavement Analyst enables transportation agencies to optimize their decision-making processes to maximize the effect of their budgets and achieve the highest possible return on highway network investments. TxDOT will be able to retrieve and process road inventory and condition data to analyze current conditions, predict future performance, and determine optimal pavement network maintenance strategies. These strategies are then able to be translated into actionable work plans based on budget and level-of-service (LOS) goals, or other criteria necessary to meet agency requirements.

The implementation of Pavement Analyst complements existing TxDOT implementations of AgileAssets Maintenance Manager™ and System Foundation™, which saw initial use starting in 2012. Pavement Analyst seamlessly integrates with Maintenance Manager and enables a complete pavement management workflow from analysis and planning to work order management.
TxDOT’s Pavement Analyst acquisition was facilitated by AgileAssets’ contract (DIR-SDD-2176) with the Texas Department of Information Resources (DIR) under their Cooperative Contracts program. The program enables eligible state agencies to purchase technology products and services from pre-approved vendors at reduced prices.
